How does the gym work?

Teofista Boxing gym is a place where you will learn the sweet science. Most of our members have been with us for years and we look for people that want to join our team for the long term. However, we do realise that people have shift work and other commitments so contact us for a customized membership and schedule. Your membership will include two training sessions with a professional trainer that has actual competition experience (Not someone with a one weekend personal training certificate). On top of this, once you have gotten to know a few of the members or if you currently know a member now, you will be able to book the entire gym to use at your own discretion. This is a great feature for families to be able to book the entire gym to themselves. This open gym times must be booked in advance and is subject to some restrictions.

We believe in groups no larger than 6 people to one trainer. We believe in learning what each individual goal is and then from there we train them accordingly. We have kids that were bullied, or overweight that have used Teofista Boxing to overcome such life obstacles. We have had 56-year-old men who had never boxed before but had competing on their “bucket list” achieve their dreams. We have NHL, WHL, AHL, CFL, and minor hockey players come use Teofista as a cross training tool. No to mention the corporate person that needs to blow off some steam before he heads into the office or the house. As long as you have a positive goal in mind, we are here to help you achieve that goal.

 

Why do we not offer drop in’s?

Learning the sport of boxing is not something you can learn in one class or one month. There are many gyms around that offer drop ins but that is not the type of members you will find at our gym. We encourage you to explore the many boxing gyms in and around the Calgary area such as Rumble Boxing, Sweat Science Boxing, Impact Boxing, and many other boxing studios/gyms. Once you have experienced these places and are ready for the next level of a real boxing gym, you will appreciate what Teofista Boxing has to offer.

 

How much does it cost?

At Teofista Boxing we require a minimum 6-month commitment at $179 per month plus GST. We require a Visa or Mastercard on file to take your monthly membership payment which is debited between the 27th and 5th of every month.

 

Where is the gym located?

Teofista Boxing Stables is located on private property in the Bearspaw area of the very Northwest part of Calgary. Located near the intersection of Crowchild trail and Lochend road.
