2022 Teofista Summer Camps
Ages 6 to 15 years old
Drop off time is 1PM and pick up time is 5PM
Transportation: Will be provided by Dustin Lee or Eric de Guzman
Cost: $299 plus gst per week Early Bird special of $249 if registration is completed by May 23rd 2022
Monday July 4th to Friday July 9th
Theme: Safety and Health: Raising Chicken for eggs, Self Defense, Strength and Conditioning, Endurance Training, Boxing, snacks and free time
Monday July 11th to Friday July 15th
Theme: Do it yourself: Learn how to use manual and power tools, build an 8×8 shed, Strength Training without equipment, Muay Thai, snacks and free time
Monday July 18th to Friday July 22st
Theme: The mechanic: learn how to maintain a vehicle, rebuild a small engine, help in restoring an old tractor, Brazilian Jiu jitsu, snacks and free time
Monday July 25th to Friday July 29th
Theme: Survivalist: learn how to camp outdoors, start a fire, cooking outdoors, build a shelter with nothing but what is around you in the forest, Boxing and conditioning
Tuesday August 2nd to Saturday 6th
Theme: The Gardener: we will teach landscaping skills. (Your child will be able to up keep your lawn from this program). Mowing grass, planting a sun flower field, weed whacking, weeding the garden and tending to a garden, pruning trees and shrubs, Boxing and conditioning.
Monday August 8th to Friday August 12th
Theme: The sports fan: we will be playing nothing but games. Road Hockey Games, roller blading, swimming at the spray lakes rec center, bike riding in the town of Cochrane or royal oak bike trails, Big Hill Springs Provincial Park hike, Ice Skating at spray lakes rec center, learn how to play rugby with a team Canada coach
Monday August 15th to Friday August 19th
Theme: Aspiring Boxer: this will be an all-boxing week of training for the upcoming season. This will give you a preview of what a week in the life of a pro fighter would go through leading up to his or her fight, the week of.
Monday August 22nd to Friday August 26th
The theme for this weekend will depend on which program was most popular and will be repeated.
Parents info: There will be a parent info session on Monday May 23rd. At this info session you will be able to come and meet the trainers and teachers. Parents will also be able to do site checks on parts of the property where all the learning takes place.
Free Time: Nerf gun wars, Noodle sword fights, tag, hide and seek around the property, listen to music inside the gym, road hockey, basketball, spike ball, golf,
Location, transportation, and other sites: Most of the camp will take place at Teofista Boxing club ltds property located near the intersection of the 766 (lochend road) and 567 (big hill springs road) There will also be some trips we will be taking the kids on. A separate permission letter will be provided upon registration depending on which camp you choose. All activities will be supervised by a coach at all times.
Cancellations, changes, and refunds: This is our notice to you that this schedule is a rough draft and there could be changes due to availability, weather, transportation and staffing. Once your payment has been made, there will be no refunds. We can change your camp week to another week or we can give you credit towards a teofista product. Sorry NO REFUNDS
Coaches
Dustin Lee: Lee is an active Amateur boxer and Amateur Boxing coach.
Although Lee was formerly trained in Kyokushin Karate in his early years, Lee would lace on his first pair of boxing gloves at Teofista and take fully to the sport, accumulating a handful of fights against national level boxers while studying his craft under Head coach Guzman. Lee has coached the amateur fight program and recreational boxing program since 2019, and continues to lead the new generation of boxers into the local boxing scene.
Lee has first-hand experience in and outside the ring as well as a Bachelors of Health Physical education to aid his coaching repertoire.
Eric de Guzman (Owner of Teofista Boxing CLub ltd)
Guzman is the head coach for Team Teofista’s amateur and professional boxing program as well as the head coach for many of Calgary top prospects. Eric holds a professional trainer’s license in the state of Arizona, Nevada, New York, Las Vegas Calgary, Medicine Hat, and Edmonton. Eric has been training boxers since 2002 and has a stable of well over 30 amateurs and professional boxers and MMA fighters. Eric also has experience working with MMA fighters who have gone onto shows in the UFC. Eric trains, manages and promotes boxers throughout Canada. Aside from boxing, Eric specializes in athlete cross training, training hockey players like, Duncan Keith, Hayley Wickenheiser, Mike Moore, Cody Almond and many more. Eric will be in charge of most of the out of gym activities that take place in and around the property.
